CLASSROOM PROJECT PROGRAM

Hayward teachers are faced with the common challenge to provide students with resources to enhance educational activities. Since 1982, the Foundation has distributed 1,073 educational grants totaling over $1,037,000.  These grants provide teachers with the resources necessary to enhance educational activities in ways that existing funding cannot.

Innovative CLASSROOM PROJECTS:

Awards up to $1,000 are available to individual teachers for innovative and creative classroom projects which enhance the learning experience of Hayward students. Funding is provided through a competitive bidding process usually announced at the beginning of the school year. All teachers who are employed at schools in Hayward (Public, Private, Charter etc.) are eligible and encouraged to submit a classroom project for funding.

Applications are reviewed and awarded as they come in. Click on the button below for guidelines. Applications open in September and run through April or until the reserve funding has been distributed.
