Thanks to our community, HEF's 2026 Soar into Excellence auction raised $10,159.61 for Hayward students, beating our $10,000 goal and nearly doubling last year's total.

Science in the Park on Saturday at Cal State East Bay was a huge success! Despite the heat, we had an excellent turnout, and well over 150 students enjoyed our "Light Refraction" experiments. A big thank you to our student volunteers from Mt. Eden and Tennyson High Schools. They were incredibly helpful and jumped right in! Special thanks to Sabrina for recruiting the volunteers, and for representing HEF in "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" Sabrina's team won!
